Notice is given of the Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Gridiron Officials Association Incorporated. The meeting is to be held on Saturday 12 September 2009 at 2 pm at 13a Middlesex Place, Northland, Wellington and by Skype. NOTE: Members attending by Skype can not be considered to be present until a rules change is made at the start of the meeting.
In accordance with the requirements of the Rules of the Association, the following business will be undertaken:
1. Prior to the AGM, changes to the rules to allow the use of Skype to hold general meetings.
2. Reading and acceptance of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting.
3. Matters arising from those minutes.
4. Correspondence.
5. President’s Report.
6. Financial Accounts.
7. Announcement of the appointment of each Supervisor of Officials.
8. Election of Officers.
9. Nomination of any Life or Honorary Members.
10. Ratification of Motion by NZGOA Management to no longer work with Leroy Sisnett.
11. General Business
As required by the Rules, all nominations for the positions of President, Treasurer and Secretary are to be in the hands of the Secretary before the AGM.
Notice of motion is also given of proposed changes to the Rules. The amendment to the Rules is that Rule 7.6 be amended by removing the word "physically" and adding the sentence "Meetings may be held by gathering the members in person, or by telephone conference, or other suitable voice communication".
Copies of the minutes of the previous meeting will be sent out following this email.
